West Indies Women have remained fifth in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) women’s team rankings but have dropped four points following their dismal performance at the recent 50-over World Cup in England.
The Windies Women were on 101 points behind new table leaders England who gained three points to overtake Australia at the top.
England won the World Cup when they beat India in the final by nine wickets at Lord’s last July while Australia reached the semi-final before losing to India.
West Indies entered the World Cup as one of the favorites following their capture of the Twenty20 World Cup last year but failed to live up to expectations, finishing sixth only above Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
