After winning the toss, stand-in captain Karishma Ramharrack decided to field and they had Bangladesh restricted for an insignificant 104 for eight.

Starting slowly, the home team did not strike until the fourth over when seamer Glasgow had opener Murshida Khatun caught for 13 with 24 runs on the board.

In reply, the host had a little trouble chasing down the total as the crossed the finish line in the penultimate over with nine balls to spare.

The West Indies women stuttered to 26 for two in the sixth over. Glasgow then hit 25 from 28 balls with two fours, to set the home side back on track.
