The West Indies Cricket Board (WIBC) will have its elections on March 7, 2015. President of the WICB Whycliffe Dave Cameron will be running for re-election and his running mate is Emmanuel Nathan. Former West Indies fast bowler Joel Garner will be challenging Cameron for the position. Garner is also the president of the Barbados Cricket Association. His running mate will be Baldath Mahabir, Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board’s representative. Elections will take place at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica.

West Indies must modify their World Cup strategy
Several changes should be made to the West Indies batting order. Chris Gayle along with Dwayne Smith must do some bowling. Batting order should be as follows:

Change Of batting order will create stability
The reshuffling of the West Indies batting order for the World Cup should cause players to be more responsible and take their roles seriously. West Indies stand-in Head Coach Stuart Williams must encourage players to play their roles. It is necessary to have a batting shift and only the West Indies team stays with one order all the time.

Ireland won the toss and sends the West Indies into bat. West Indies found themselves into early trouble after Dwayne Smith, Chris Gayle, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels and Denesh Ramdin fell cheaply and West Indies were five wickets down for 87 runs. Darren Sammy and Lendl Simmons stroked away at the crease and carved up a partnership of 154 runs before Sammy fell for 89 runs from 67 balls. Simmons scored 102 runs from 84 balls, hitting nine fours and five massive sixes, Andre Russel scored 27 runs from 13 balls. West Indies ended their 50 overs scoring 307 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
Ireland thrashes West Indies by four wickets
Ireland defeated the West Indies quite easily with three of their batsmen scoring half centuries. Ireland scored 307 runs for 6 wickets from 45.5 overs.
