Cricket West Indies (CWI) recently announced a packed 2025 schedule for its men’s and women’s teams that will see them face Ireland, England, Australia, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Pakistan and South Africa.
The men will face both Ireland and England in three ODIs and three T20s between May 21 and June 15. After that, Australia will come to the Caribbean for its first Test series since 2015. There, they will compete for the prestigious Frank Worrell Trophy in a three-match series that also coincides with the start of the ICC World Test Championship cycle, in which the West Indies will play Australia in five T20Is.
Following that, Pakistan will join the West Indies for two three-match T20 and ODI series at the end of July.
The men’s team will tour India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand between Sept. 21 and Dec. 23.
India will feature two Test matches, Bangladesh three ODIS and three T20Is, while New Zealand will host a full tour of five T20Is, three ODIs, and three Test matches.
Meanwhile, West Indies Women will participate in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan from April 4-19. Six teams will compete for the top two spots in the tournament, which is scheduled for August- September in India.
Following the Qualifiers, the women will tour England for three T20Is and three ODIs from May 21 to June 8.
Later on, they will host South Africa for a historic white-ball series at the 3Ws Oval in Barbados.
CWI’s Director of Cricket, Miles Bascombe, said the itinerary was designed with special goals in mind.
“Today marks not just another announcement but the unveiling of our confirmed 2025 fixtures strategically designed to foster cricket development, reposition our squad, enhance commercial opportunities, provide invaluable player exposure, and expand the sport’s reach.”
The West Indies will host South Africa ‘A’ for two four-day first-class matches and three One Day matches from May 17 to June 10.
There will also be a Men’s Emerging T20 tournament, while the West Indies Academy will host Sri Lanka for two four-day matches and three 50-over games from June 3 to 27.
