The West Indies Cricket Board annual Regional Twenty20 Championship begins Jan. 10, 2011.
Guyana won the Twenty20 competition last year by defeating Barbados by a slim margin. For this upcoming regional tournament, Barbados has the best allround team on paper with Sulieman Benn and Kemar Roach in the squad. The huge hitters and quick scoring batsmen are also named in the strong Barbadian squad. Dwayne Smith, Jonathan Carter, Carlo Morris and Kevin Stoute are in the Twenty20 squad and these players are known for their high levels of scoring in this category of the game.
New West Indies limited over pick, Kirk Edwards is mentioned to be in the team as well to boost the batting. Ryan Hinds will captain the team. The competition takes place in Antigua and Barbados between Jan. 10 – 23, 2011.
