Guyana’s Second Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carl B. Greenidge will address a Town Hall meeting on Saturday, Sept. 29 at York College, 94-20 Guy R. Brewer Blvd., Jamaica.
The Permanent Mission of Guyana to the United Nations and the Consulate General of Guyana are inviting the Guyanese Diaspora to the town hall, from 1 pm – 4 pm in the Faculty Dining Room where several pertinent issues relating to Guyana’s development will be discussed.
The minister will deliver an address after which, a Q&A segment will follow.
Minister Greenidge, who will lead a delegation to the 73rd United Nation General Assembly (UNGA), and make his presentation on Friday, Sep. 28, will be doing so on behalf of President David A Granger.
President Granger, since taking up office in 2015, has for the first time, decided to forgo the high-level talks, to focus on Local Government Elections, said Min. Greenidge during a press conference.
Greenidge, will also meet for bilateral talks with member countries such as those in Latin America, Europe, and Africa, in addition to other countries.
The high level team, according to the Guyana Chronicle NY Edition, is also expected to engage officials from the Commonwealth Secretariat, and other international institutions.
