Ladies and gents from Brooklyn will step out in their finest Easter hats and ensemble all in the name of charity when the Health & Education Relief Organization for Cancer, (HEROC) committee, hosts its “Second Annual Fascination Tea Party, on April 12.
St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, at 331 Hawthorne St., will welcome patrons from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a fun-filled afternoon of a runway show, creative competition and festive fare.
The group, which is dedicated to providing health care, nutrition and education to cancer patients in the U.S. and Guyana, will award prizes to winners of the most creative table. Best-dressed male and female attire honors will be handed out, all while raising much needed funds to carry on its mission to improve and enhance the well being of those suffering with the disease.
“We remain committed to providing the necessary services that will benefit those with little or no access to much needed treatment,” said Lorna Welshman-Neblett, president of HEROC.
Thanks to dedicated patrons, added Welshman-Neblett, all proceeds will go towards medical missions to Guyana and the Caribbean, in conjunction with the umbrella organization Heal Education Relief Organization (HERO).
