Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies spinner Sunil Narine has been suspended from the home Test series against New Zealand. Narine failed to meet the deadline for returning to the Caribbean to prepare for training camp. He chose to remain in India with the Kolkata Knight Riders for the final of the Indian Premier League.
Narine is ranked as the number two bowler in Twenty20 internationals and number three in the One-day Internationals by the International Cricket Committee. His overall record in his six Test was not that impressive, taking 23 wickets at an average of 40.82 runs. against new zealand he was fantastic statistically taking 18 wickets at 24.33.

Narine came out second in wicket taking during the Pepsi IPL 2014. He took 21 wickets falling behind Mohit Sharma who took 23 wicket for the Kings XI Punjab.
There were some outstanding performances in the final of the 2014 Pepsi IPL by the Kolkata Knight Riders. This is the second win for Kolkata Knight Riders in the history of the IPL. Gautam Gambhir captained the Kolkatta Knight Riders.
