When Collie Buddz and Busy Signal teamed up for their new high-energy track “Spark Up,” it was clear reggae fans were in for something extraordinary.

Behind this summer anthem, lighting up playlists worldwide, stands the unmatched talent of Grammy-winning producer, engineer and composer, J-Vibe.

“Known for pushing musical boundaries, J-Vibe brings his signature fusion of live instrumentation and authentic reggae rhythms to this track, creating a polished sound with global appeal,” Marie Driven, the Haitian-American managing director of the Brooklyn-based entertainment company PlaybookMG, told Caribbean Life on Monday.

“’Spark Up’ isn’t just a track; it’s a vibe, a movement and a celebration of reggae music’s infectious energy”, he added. “Fans eager to immerse themselves in the electrifying spirit of this anthem can catch the magic live during The Spark Up Tour.

“With J-Vibe’s production energy and the unmistakable talent of Collie Buddz and Busy Signal, every show promises to deliver unforgettable moments,” Driven continued.

She said J-Vibe’s career is a showcase of musical excellence.

“With a GRAMMY win in 2016 for Best Reggae Album, Strictly Roots by Morgan Heritage, J-Vibe has cemented his place as one of the industry’s best,” Driven added. “A consistent innovator, he’s worked across genres like reggae, R&B, hip-hop, rock, and pop, bringing his versatility and live performance flair to every project.”

She said J-Vibe’s GRAMMY nomination story began in 2003 with Third World’s “Ain’t Givin’ Up,” with more recognition following in 2008 for “Heaven Sent,” a platinum hit from Keyshia Cole’s Just Like You.

“The accolades keep coming, as J-Vibe has collaborated with top artists like Estelle on ‘Come Over’, featuring Sean Paul, and created with global icons such as Rihanna, Damian Marley and Pitbull,” Driven said.

From touring alongside Ky-Mani Marley and Van Halen to playing every instrument on his compositions, she said J-Vibe embodies innovation and passion.

A graduate of the SAE Institute of Audio Technology, Driven said J-Vibe’s musical roots date back to age 8, “setting the stage for a career of relentless creativity.”

“Whether in the studio crafting hits or on stage as a musical director and lead keyboardist, his artistry stands as a testament to dedication and precision,” she said. “J-Vibe’s words perfectly capture his essence and ambitions: ‘Live, love, laugh — and most importantly, listen. I am the future of music.’

“With ‘Spark Up’ as its soundtrack, The Spark Up Tour promises to bring a level of energy and celebration that’s truly unmatched,” Driven added.

“J-Vibe, Collie Buddz and Busy Signal are setting the tone for an unforgettable summer,” she continued. “This is only the beginning for J-Vibe — a legend in the making. Stay tuned, and get ready to ‘Spark Up!’”
