Six Caribbean beauties will on Saturday evening, June 15, contest the Miss New York Continental 2019 Pageant at the Wingate Campus Auditorium in Brooklyn.
According to Yvonne Peters, the Vincentian-born president and founder of the Brooklyn-based Caribbean American Cultural Group (CACG), organizer of the event, the contestants will represent Haiti (2), Belize, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Guyana.
The contestants are: Haitians Jessica Pierre, 19, and Dalexis Helphdgine, 23; Belizean, Jasyra Franklin, 24; Trinidadian, Zaza Blackman, 18; Vincentian, Kayla Mcletchie, 22; Guyanese, Tiffany Whittaker, 24.
Peters said the contestants will appear in evening and swim wear. They will also state their platform will answer the judges’ questions, she said.
Doors open at 5 pm; the show starts at 6 pm.
Wingate Campus Auditorium is located between Ruthland Road and Winthrop Street in Brooklyn.
