Lenny Green, award-winning host of the hugely popular radio show The Quiet Storm, aired on WBLS 107.5FM, was one of the esteemed honorees at this year’s 8th Annual SITA Awards Program, recently held at the prestigious Jamaica Performing Arts Center in Queens.
The exclusive evening brought together celebrities, community partners, and attendees to network, engage with like-minded visionaries and honor some of the community’s best and brightest.
Green was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Radio; Ronny Wright, Behind the Lens Achievement; Amirah Holmes, Youth Designer of the Year; Jawn Murry, Phenomenal Executive Producer, and Trailblazer; Keith Howard, Champion of Youth Development; Jacques Leandre, Sportsmanship Excellence; Feurtado Brothers, Kings of Community Peace & Safety Award; and Reverend Edward Jordan, Faith Leadership Award.
The unique event, which offered the perfect opportunity to cultivate meaningful connections in a vibrant and creative atmosphere, celebrated the amazing work of honorees, whose creativity was acknowledged by SITA founder and CEO Dara J. Bragg.
The entertaining evening was highlighted by a colorful, high-end fashion display of stunning collections by couturiers Hope Wade, Willie Hall, Qumara Boutique, Lady Black Boutique, and Highly Humble. They are some of the best on the East Coast.
Models from the J. Love Fashion School of Etiquette, Inc., wearing beautiful creations, lit up the runway as engaging emcee Board Member & Executive of JLSE Inc., Athena Dent-Alleyne, gave a running commentary to highlight the show.
Natalie Lil Nat Barrington and Al Bynum hosted the event, which opened with a Gold Carpet & Cocktail Hour special. Featured musical performances by Linda Jones-Prince, Norman Pors and the Band, the Untouchable Movement Dance Company, and Markie 3 added a special touch to the evening’s celebration.
