This June 16th, Abstract Entertainment presents Pan Jazz 2012’s production of Music – The Original Social Media at the eighth annual presentation Saturday, June 16 at Frederick P. Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center, 60th Street & Broadway, New York City commencing at 7:00 p.m.
Once again celebrate the hypnotic, unifying grip that transcends time and borders with the stylings of the simply electrifying Soca Queen Alison Hinds and the thought-elevating rebel sounds of Thandiswa Mazwai backed by an All-Star band.
Returning off of last year’s exciting collaboration with legendary Trumpeter Hugh Masekela will be Victor Provost and Leon Foster Thomas. Also returning this year from St. Lucia is famed guitarist Ronald “Boo” Hinskon. Appearing for the first time with Pan Jazz’s South African bassist Bikith Kumalo and the Multi-Faceted Mino Cinelo and from Suriname, Etienne Stadwick and many more.
Musical arrangements will be led by Pan Jazz veteran Etienne Charles, whose growing musical popularity continues globally. The creation of this year’s concept by Darryl Ramsey (creative Director) will take you on the journey exploring the very fabric of this social medium, “Music.”
Former Miss Universe and current Pan Jazz ambassador Wendy Fitzwilliam will host the event.
As the Pan Jazz productions continue to captivate its audiences yearly with new concepts it has not strayed away from its key mission to provide Caribbean artistes a creative outlet in a high-end setting that explores the unexplored.

This year’s production is being dedicated to Ralph MacDonald, Grammy award winning percussionist, songwriter and producer.
A complimentary pre-concert reception preceding the show a “Taste of the Caribbean Festival,” takes place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Jazz at Lincoln Center Atrium.
