NYS Assemblymember Jamie Williams presents summer concert series, yoga, Caribbean night at Marine Park

NYS Assemblymember Jamie Williams has announced a summer long schedule of events in Marine Park that will begin with Yoga in the Park, every Monday, from June 24 to Aug. 26. All sessions start at 7 p.m. and is free to the public.

The politician in collaboration with Senator Simcha Felder, of the 22nd Senate District, Senator Roxanne J. Persaud of the 19th Senate District, and Assembly District 59 Leader Frank Seddio, has made public, a concert series, also in Marine Park, on the Lawn near the Bocce Court.

The live music performances will kick-off on Thursday, June 20 at 7:00 pm with a Caribbean Night, featuring Marcus Steel and Friends, with DJ Chinee. The rain date is June 21.

Wednesday 26, is Salsa night, with Cool Element, who will take to the stage at 7 p.m.  This will be followed by The Regina Opera, featuring Opera and Broadway tunes on Wednesday 10, at 7 p.m.

The series will continue Wednesday July 17, with a performance by Plastic Soul with Lady Lizet Deadato. The rain date is July 18. Scott Yahney & Friends Band will take to the stage on Wednesday 24, at 7:00pm to present classic hits and more. The rain date is July 25.

Wednesday, July 31, at 6 p.m. will feature Fuzzy Lemons, a children’s concert Christmas in July presentation. The rain date is Aug. 1. This will be followed by a Jewish Singer Cantor Shea Rubenstein, who will entertain patrons on Aug. 14, The rain date in Aug. 15.

Sound Affair will welcome fans on Wednesday, Aug.21, at 7 p.m. The rain date is Aug. 22.

The curtains will come down on the summer series with a Disco Night, featuring Scott Yahney, at 7 p.m. on Aug. 28. The rain date is Aug. 29.

Music lovers are asked to bring blankets, chairs, and family and friends. These concerts are free and open to the public.
