CAPTAINCY CRISIS

West Indies cricket is now facing all sorts of problems including the captaincy of Denesh Ramdin who is in a terrible form. Ramdin’s batting is averaging 26.28 in Test and his captaincy is one of the poorest in international cricket today. Ramdin has played 69 Test matches and he has scored only four Test centuries.

The West Indies team has a young group of players that have to take up the challenges seriously. Jason Holder 23, Jermaine Blackwood 23, Darren Bravo 26, Shane Dowrich 23, Kraigg Braithwaite 22, Devon Thomas 23 and Shai Hope 21 are all players with abilities to do well for the region.

Dowrich is capable of being the new wicket keeper batsman and Thomas can surely squeeze his way into the middle order batting. Blackwood will have to perform much more responsibly. Young opening batsmen Hope and Kraigg Braithwaite must learn to rotate the strike.
