Trinidad and Tobago’s national 400m record holder, Jereem Richards, will be competing at the inaugural Kingston Slam, from April 4-6 in Jamaica.
The Kingston Slam is the first event in the Grand Slam Track founded by American sprint legend Michael Johnson.
Richards, who placed fourth in the Paris Olympics in 2024 will be competing in the long sprints alongside Quincy Hall, Muzala Samukonga, Matthew Hudson-Smith, Busang Collen Kebinatshipi, Vernon Norwood, Chris Bailey and Deandre Watkin.
Grand Slam Track officially released the complete roster of 96 Racers and Challengers for the Kingston Slam.
Headlining the Challengers are global track and field icons such as Grace Stark, Dalilah Muhammad, Ackeem Blake, Favour Ofili, and Dominic Lobalu.
However, the event will be without two notable racers, Devon Allen and Luis Grijalva, due to injuries.

“We’re thrilled to finalize the lineup for our first-ever Grand Slam Track event.” said Johnson. “With 96 world-class competitors, the Kingston Slam will be a spectacular celebration of speed and athleticism. We invite fans from around the world to join us in Jamaica for what promises to be an unforgettable festival of track and field at the National Stadium.”
