The holiday season ushers in another special time at Brooklyn’s Tropical Paradise Ballroom, including a Christmas party on Friday, Dec. 16 that offers complimentary buffet dinner and free admission. There will also be a New Year’s Eve ball with music by Lambert & The Matadors Orchestra, which promises a rollicking welcome to 2012.
Dave Gayle, the owner of Tropical Paradise, said the management’s offer of a complimentary dinner and free admission for the Christmas party was “all in the spirit of the season. We’re just continuing the holiday give-back tradition we began since we opened.”
Music for the Christmas shindig will be supplied by two hot Caribbean community deejays: Back to Basics and Kool Konnections – a combination guaranteed to rock the joint from start to finish. Doors open at 9:00 p.m.

An abundance of party favors will be available to add to the celebratory mood, as well as complimentary champagne for toasting the New Year’s arrival. The dinner will feature the full array of Caribbean cuisine delights. Earlier in the evening hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Always in demand among Caribbean party goers, Lambert & The Matadors will lend their own touch of class to the proceedings. The event will also mark a return to the New York deejay scene of King Chow, who has been out of the country for the past few years. Chow will be sharing deejay duties with Madman Maddy.
Doors open for the New Year’s Eve ball at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are available at neighborhood outlets, with Tropical Paradise Restaurant again serving as the primary ticket location.
In addition to offering an excellent venue option for all manner of private events, Tropical Paradise Ballroom & Banquet Hall, located at 1367 Utica Avenue (between Foster Avenue and Farragut Road), has mounted several in-house productions since it began operations four years ago. The Christmas holiday period continues to be a time earmarked for special entertainment packaging, as the 2011 year-end presentations at the facility certainly attest.
