Haitian leaders in Brooklyn have established drop-off points for relief supplies to aid earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
Assembly Member Rodneyse Bichotte-Hermelyn, who represents the 42nd Assembly District, is asking the community to drop off supplies to 1312 Flatbush Ave., Brooklyn, 11210, Monday to Friday, from 9:20 am to 5:00 pm.
Bichotte Hermelyn, who is also chair of the Brooklyn Democratic Party, said collection will be made through Friday, Aug. 27.
Urgent items requested are: Canned goods, deodorant, toiletries, toothpaste/tooth brushes, feminine products, combs/hair brushes, baby pampers/wipes and baby food.

Council Member Farah N. Louis, another daughter of Haitian immigrants, who represents the 45th Council District in Brooklyn, is also partnership with a number of New York legislators in the Haiti earthquake relief drive.
They comprise: Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke; State Sens. James Sanders and Kevin Parker; Assembly Members Amanda Septimo, Khaleel Anderson, Clyde Vanel, Diana C. Richardson and Mathylde Frontus; Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez; Queens Borough President Donovan Richads; Council Member Selvena Brooks-Powers; and Democratic Party Council Member nominee Rita Joseph.
Accepted donations are: Baby products and supplies; personal hygiene products; and medical/emergency supplies – tents, sterile gloves, batteries, emergency candles, first aid kits, gauze and bandages, garbage bags, thermometers, flashlights, alcohol pads, small scissors and hand sanitizers.
