Great Women In Music (GWIM) will present two events for Women’s History Month.
On Saturday, March 17, GWIM and Chedda Ent. will host the award winning, featured house DJ from 98.7 KISS FM, Lady D. Wells. This renowned mix master, will appear with her special guest, the legendary DJ Hollywood. This event will be held at the Doug Out, 800 River Ave. in the Bronx. Doors open at 10:00 p.m.
On Sunday, March 25 GWIM will salute Rev. Dr. Theresa Oliver of Mt. Zion Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in the Bronx, with a special guest gospel performance from Natasha C. Coward.
This event will be sponsored by Healthfirst, which offers free and low-cost health insurance plans to eligible seniors, adults and families.
Now in its 12th season, GWIM is an ongoing celebration of the many contributions women have made to music and the world.
“GWIM will celebrate the powerful message that the gifted Pastor Oliver brings to her congregation and community. Her ongoing commitment to teach and preach the benefits of healthy living, education and unity is a lesson to us all,” said Roz Nixon of GWIM.
