T&T sprinter, Michelle-Lee Ahye continues her winning ways in Europe with victories in the women’s 100 meters event at the Meeting de Marselle, France last week. Her first gold came in the 100m on June 3 at the Irena Szewinska Memorial Meet in Bydgoszca, Poland. She finished first in the 100m dash in a meet record time of 11.17 seconds. Ahye followed up six days later with gold at the PTS Meeting in Samorin, Slovakia with a wind-assisted 11.12.
Ahye completed a hat-trick of European victories last week when she brushed aside the strong headwind to grab gold in the Meeting d Marseille, France.
The 28-year-old is gearing up for the Tokoyo Games, which gets underway from July 23 to Aug. 8.
Ahye is 11th on the 2022 a world performance list at 10.94 seconds.
She also has a 10.96 clocking to her name this year.
