The Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20) said that the 2021 season delivered outstanding exposure for partner tourist boards with over 500 million viewers and a total sponsorship of US$316.1 million.
In a statement, CPL said this figure was generated from a report by independent research company YouGov Sport.
The tournament took place in St. Kitts and Nevis between Aug. 26 and Sept. 15 with all 33 matches taking place at Warner Park.
CPL said the total viewership figure for 2021 was 517.4 million, adding that it was the second straight year the tournament surpassed half a billion viewers.
It said that the tourist boards in St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, Barbados, Jamaica and Guyana all had innovative and engaging advertising throughout the Hero CPL broadcast, including branding and tourism vignettes high-lighting why these countries are must visit locations.
