Black History Month was celebrated at City Hall on Feb. 15. The City Council’s Black, Latino and Asian Caucus hosted the culturally-themed event. Three people were awarded with proclamations at the celebration. The honorees were former councilman Archie Spigner, the founder of the Mind Builders Creative Arts Center, Madaha Kinsey-Lamb, and clergyman Melvin Faulkner.
Other highlights of the event were taken by young saxophonist, Ashley Keiko and students and members of Edge School of the Arts and Joe’s Music Center and Performing Arts.
