You can now fly to Vincy directly.
The Caribbean Airlines Limited (CAL) and the St. Vincent and The Grenadines Tourism Authority announced that there will now be a non-stop direct flight service between John F. Kennedy airport (JFK) and Argyle International Airport (SVD) in St. Vincent on March 12. The service, which began its inaugural flight from JFK airport on March 14 is a major step for travel to and from the Caribbean, said a representative for the airline.
“At Caribbean Airlines we are in the service of connecting people, and the service between JFK and the Argyle International Airport in St. Vincent, will provide more travel options between the Eastern Caribbean and North America,” said Carl Stuart.
Prior to the announcement of the new service, passengers flying to St. Vincent had to stop at other airports in the Caribbean, and switch to another flight.
The weekly service will operate every Wednesday — one outgoing and one incoming flight between the two airports.
“With our weekly non-stop flights every Wednesday starting March 14 — we say hello Caribbean to our North American customers and the Diaspora, and we are looking forward to you experiencing the warmth of the islands as soon as you step on board,” added Stuart.
Stuart said that easy access to the island will only forge a stronger relationship between the Caribbean.
“Our mission is to connect the region more closely and as we realize this ambition, our valued customers can look forward to a schedule that allows the ease and convenient travel to facilitate their travel needs,” he said. “This is a time and moment for celebration for all citizens of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Caribbean region, and we look forward to boosting trade and tourism, and providing opportunity for the business community which regularly exports to the U.S.”
