Several of the world’s leading athletes and entertainers came out for the documentary on Usain Bolt’s quest for iconic status, which was premiered in London recently.
Stars from track and field and dancehall music braved freezing weather conditions to attend the function at the West End’s Odeon Leicester Square cinema for the premier that ran for nearly two hours.
The documentary titled “I Am Bolt” takes viewers behind the scenes of Bolt’s journey to nine Olympic gold medals.
Among the VIPs was former Jamaican Sprinting great, Merlene Ottley, who said; “I think he’s had enough. He has won everything and I mean what else is there to do.”
Ottley the legendary sprinter has won three silver and six bronze medals at the Olympics.
Bolt, who has started training a month ago, went to Monaco for the IAAF Athletics Awards, where he received the Male Athletics of the Year Award.
Bolt, who plans to retire at the World Championships next year, said, “I’ve always said London is a good place to untie my shoes.”
