Sprint double world- record holder Usain Bolt is unfazed after his two defeats in three days recently at the Jamaica Olympic trials, after being beaten by his training partner Yohan Blake.
Before this, the 25-year-old had not been beaten twice in four years but left the Jamaica Olympic trials twice faltering at the hands of Blake.
As is customary, Bolt remained positive ahead of the London Olympics starting later this month and was adamant he could turn around his form in time.
“I’m the Olympic champion. I have to show the world I’m the best. I can come back,” he said.
“It’s not like I was blown away or anything. So now, I know what I need to do to get it right,” Bolt said.
Blake stunned Bolt for the first time earlier this month, clocking a world-best 19.75 seconds to win the 100 meters.
Bolt recovered from a poor start to finish second in 9.86 seconds.
Blake, the l00 meters World Champion returned two days after to shock Bolt for the second time, clocking another world-leading time of 19.80 seconds to win the 200 meters.]
Bolt was relegated to second in 1983. He remains the favorite going into the London games but sports commentators are already eyeing Blake as the man who could make headlines at the July 27 to Aug. 12 showpiece. Bolt said he would not be changing his preparation.
