In an unprecedented event, Brooklyn organizers will use technology to enable a broad audience to hear from and see the work of fashion designers across the globe by way of tools they now utilize to make these connections daily.

“The primarily online series is with a few off-line events including a fundraising breakfast and presentation,” tech guru Bonnie Sandy explained. “If we were to look at the digital Made in New York tech-map anf Wi-Fi-enabled co-working spaces, we’ll see heavy growth in the new and booming tech industry, where there are high concentrations of affordable WiFi-enabled work spaces by which Tibiaetech is determined to bring the first of several such space to the Flatbush section of Brooklyn.

There, budding techies could expand the knowledge and skills to participate in the fast-growing web-based pnenomena.

A second offline event takes place Saturday, May 25th when Tibiaetech co-founders invite anyone interested in engaging in coworking exercises and explore “Open Sew” — a project aimed at designing an open-source garment line specifically designed for printing and textile treatments, which will be made available to artists and textile designers!

TibiaeTech is mobilizing the community, looking for organizations who want to start projects that would employ their constituents.

Sandy is looking for artists, designers, crafters, sowers, light manufacturers and others in the community who are interested in starting a business and earning an income. [

“It’s about innovation, exploring new business models and leveraging technology to support the community,” Sandy explained. “Essentially designers get to present their lines and tell their stories from the comfort of their studios, whether it’s in Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, Paris, Nigeria, Atlanta or New York.

‘B.A.D.A.S.S.E is an acronym for Business, Art, Design, Apparel, Sustainability, Styling and “Ein’-dustrial careers,” Sandy explains. “It covers the creative industries with a viewpoint of creating companies that employ our communities. 3.0 refers to the latest iteration and advancement of technology! It is the latest in a series of projects designed to challenge local entrepreneurs out of their comfort zone, while educating the wider audience! “

Members of the participating group are masters within the art of design; all blazing a trail and setting high standards in workmanship and business success! Those who RSVP to the free series will get a guided tour of the works from New York’s Wanda Bruno of Esaie Couture Design School, Louis Narcisse of Pharaonic Designs, Tenneh Wilkins from House of Rubi and Atlanta’s Therez Fleetwood of Therez Fleetwood Bridals.

Former New York residents Jonathan Adewume — now in Nigeria and Esther Joseph — now in St.Lucia, will join the line-up , as will Mike Sylla of Paris and Robert Anthony Young from Trinidad and Tobago.
